I would like to know whether there is a difference between iTouch software 3 and 2 since i just bought one of them second hand and am not sure whether to upgrade or not?
You get quite a lot of features and it's a good idea to upgrade!
The Apple website has a list but I'll tell you here.
Genius mixes, a feature which looks through your iPod and finds songs that you may like.
A similar Genius feature for apps, to find apps you'll probably enjoy!
Peer-to-peer gaming, allowing you to connect to other iPod Touch owners for a good old bash-up touchscreen style.
You're able to buy content over Wi-Fi.
There's a universal searching feature known as 'Spotlight'.
You get stereo Bluetooth for wireless accessories.
Shaking the iPod while music is playing will automatically shuffle.
There are far more languages compared to previous versions.
Push notifications are a possibility.
Parental controls can be set.
Wi-Fi hotspots can be logged into automatically instead of manually.
iTunes accounts can be created on the iPod.
Cutting, copying and pasting content is possible.
Tilting the iPod on its side will change the keyboard to landscape.
