The Apple Tablet: all but confirmed

Ok, so now that you've just read the most recent post on the Apple event and its expected Tablet, let's now focus on what has just been scouring the web at lightening speed. It is concerning Terry McGraw (related to Tim McGraw?), CEO of publisher McGraw-Hill who announced in an interview with CNBC news that there will be an announcement tomorrow on it.

“They’ll make their announcement tomorrow on this one. We’ve worked with Apple for quite some time and the tablet is going to be based on the iPhone operating system, so it’ll be transferrable,”
This was concerning a question about the Apple tablet, and by gosh did he give an answer. Not only did he say the above, but also went on to say

“What you’re going to be able to do now, we have a consortium of eBooks and we have 95% of all our materials in eBook formats. So now with the tablet you’re going to open up the higher education market, the professional market, the tablet is going to be just really terriffic.”
You can watch the whole interview at the bottom, but skip to 2 minutes because the first 2 minutes are more boring than watching grass germinate.

Surely though, this is the final cherry on the cake which means that an Apple tablet will be announced tomorrow which will do eBooks amongst other things. But boy, might Mr McGraw have blown his chances? We'll see tomorrow. Be sure to be here though, as we'll be doing our best to be blogging during it. Remember, 10am Pacific (6pm GMT).
