Why the iPod owes most of its success to Microsoft


This may sound odd, but it’s true. You see, windows has around a 90% share of the computer market. So, if Microsoft had said no to the iPod being compatible with its software, it would never have taken off. And now it has reached the stage where so many people have an iPod that Microsoft couldn’t possibly remove iPod compatibility. So, you might not think it, but Apple owes a huge amount of its success to Microsoft.
