iPhone on Orange, details announced

Orange today announced that the iPhone will be coming to their tariffs. This is the first time the iPhone has not been done by o2 in the UK ever, so this is a stepping stone for Apple. The 3G and 3GS are being sold, the 3G being free on every 24 month tariff, and £96.50 for 2 of the 18 month tariffs. The 16GB is £125 on the cheapest 24 month tariff, at £29.36 a month for 150 minutes and 250 texts. The 32GB is £225 on the same 24 month contract and free from £73.30 a month upwards. There is a 750mb cap on the internet browsing through 3G, but wifi is free. Tethering is a lot cheaper than o2, just £4.89 a month, as opposed to £15 a month on o2. On PAYG all iPhones are pretty much equal in price compared to o2. But it seems that Orange has slightly undercut o2 on the pay monthly department, but are the same in PAYG. Vodafone are still to announced their tariffs for the iPhone, but are expected to release it some time in January 2010. I spoke to Orange yesterday and the data cap applies to 3G & WiFi combined! I think I'll be going with O2 just for that.

Also Orange are charging extra per MMS, whereas O2 just deduct them as 3 messages from your allowance.
