It just goes to show that Windows 7 is still full of surprises. As of late news has been spreading across the web like wildfire about a nice little secret in 7. This secret has playfully been dubbed ‘God Mode’.
God Mode more or less allows you to access every single little detail of your PC. In other words, it’s Control Panel. But instead of limiting the settings you can edit, there’s a whole list of everything possible.
To access God Mode, create a new folder anywhere and rename it:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
It’s not all that big a deal but if you wanna impress someone with a lesser knowledge than you this is the thing to do. Either that or use a screenshot of your desktop as your wallpaper and show them how you can click icons without selecting them. Oh, and if you’re wondering, Microsoft has said nothing about this mysterious discovery…
