Right, this method also involves you to be on hand for it, so it will only be used some of the time. But who uses Spotify for all their music? Say you’re playing a song you like, and it goes to the next one and you get an ad. Don’t worry.
What to do is close Spotify fully from the toolbar bottom right (for Windows) and start it up again. I can do this in 8 seconds, which is easily quicker than the 30 second ads you get. This does mean that you will be constantly be closing Spotify when there is an ad.
However, there is another way. If your song is playing and you know it is about to end, quickly bring up Spotify from the bottom and click on the next song you want it to play instead of letting it shuffle to it or just playing the next song.
That, too, also means that Spotify won’t play ads during your tunes. Simple, but effective. However, slightly pointless if you are a subscriber for the £9.99 a month service. But still, that’s how to beat the Spotify ads on the free version.

Umm.. Or pay £9.99 a month and enjoy the great service.
I mean seriously, your solution is to sit in front of your computer & turn it off & on again when ads start?
It isn't the most practical, admittedly. But I don't want to pay for it because I can't get it on my phone.
What if I pay you £4.99 a month to hang by my computer and do this?
