Eight Apple Tablet Truths

Apple just loves to keep a secret, leak a little out in the open, and then leave us reeling. Steve Jobs must seriously get pleasure out of torturing us mere mortals into hopelessly making endless vein guesses as to what the leakage could be about. In the end, when the product is finally released, there’s so much hype it just can’t be ignored.
Well, the company that never sleeps is doing it again.
The next product to fall from the Apple tree will definitely be the Apple Tablet. There’s just far too much evidence swirling around on the Internet for it not to be. Okay, so CES just went past. You think Apple didn’t turn up there because they had nothing to show for themselves. I think they just wanted to ruin everyone’s fun by overshadowing everything!
And they certainly are overshadowing the annual tech conference held in Las Vegas, because today, something has changed. Apple Tablet rumours are no longer just rumours, they’re something more, they’re truths.
And here are eight of those truths to drown your geeky cravings in:
iAm Called iSlate
Apple’s oversized iPhone won’t hit the shelves with that somewhat monotone moniker. ‘Apple Tablet’ sounds more like a fruity-flavoured aspirin. 'iSlate would be much more appropriate and thankfully that’s what it’s gonna be.
Two years ago Apple purchased the domain ‘islate.com’ so it’s more than likely the tablet has been in the works for a very long time.
iBook
iGuide’s trademark description mentions a number of times about the possibility of using the Apple Tablet to access books, magazines, newspapers, and other such publications.
Therefore, expect the iSlate to spread Apple’s all-conquering poison into the eBook market as well as the already-suffering tablet niche.
iWill Be On Sale In…
iWill have 3G and WiFi
There’s a chance that the iSlate will have 3G and WiFi. Either that or there will be two separate versions, one with 3G and one with WiFi or one with both and one with just 3G. Just like the iTouch is an iPhone without the phone.

The MacNTouch Gesture Keyboard is a complete user interface that serves as mouse, standard keyboard, and powerful multi-finger gesture interpreter. Mouse operations like point, click, drag, scroll, and zoom are combined seamlessly with touch-typing and multi-finger gesture everywhere on the MacNTouch's surface.
iWill be 10 Inches Diagonally
According to the Wall Street Journal a source close to Apple has unveiled the size of the touchscreen display. Despite having been rumoured for months it won’t be 7.1 inches!
iWas Once 7 Inches
It’s possible that the 7-inch versions we so often heard of were all prototypes. But if you’re still not sure whether to believe the 10-inch rumours then evidence is aplenty.
iWill Be Expensive But Popular
It’s likely that the iSlate will cost around $1,000 (£620, €690). Even though it’s gonna be that expensive it’s definitely gonna sell enough to fill a thousand trash tips. Well, Reuters reckons so anyway.
Summary
The iSlate exists whether you like it or not.
And whether you like it or not, it’s gonna be popular.
The eight points above are probably true whether you like it or not.
Thank you for reading this post, whether you liked it or not :)

Even though it literally costs £620, it will be more due to duty tax and stuff.

That'll take it up to about £1000. Then you consider the fact that Apple is selling it and the price will be £3000 ;)
