Blacksn0w, the next version of the infamous unlocking software is out and whats even better is with one release there is compatibility for 3G and 3GS. The old iphone dev team seem to have struck gold with this app as they have released the application for windows and mac, with tiger and apple power pc support. If you are planning on being a touch cheeky and going for the unlock you can add the repo (providing you are already jailbroken) from the search on cydia.
