You may remember a few weeks ago we announced the iPhone would be on Orange and Vodafone, as well as o2 because of their exclusivity deal ending. And now, a 4th contender is entering the fray, Tesco Mobile. They aim to launch it before Christmas, so they would pip Vodafone to offering it. Hopefully, they will start a price war we so desperately want. However, I don't think this is going to happen. That is because Tesco mobile is a 50:50 venture between Tesco and o2, so o2 wouldn't want to undercut themselves, by themselves. Also, since Tesco uses o2s' towers, the 3G coverage wouldn't be exceptional, but o2 is investing in them. I think that this is good for another network to have the iPhone, because i hate exclusive deals. It is due out soon, so keep your eyes peeled because things could hotten up.
