We all knew Modern Warefare 2 was going to be great. Ever since World at War was launched, it seems that the whole gaming community has been gearing up for this release. And so it seems, has the public. They have gone out and bought 1.23 million copies on the first day of its release! This game is the best selling game of all time on its first day of release, trumping Grand Theft Auto IV by 1.23 million to 631000 copies. It has been criticised for its violence, but it is an 18, so anyone who is playing it should expect what they will see.
This game also has an effect on people. I know people who have stayed off school and work to play this game, that is how much it has been anticipated. Our very own Matthew here at the Tech Stop went to ASDA at 12pm with 600 other gamers to purchase this for just £32 soon after it was launched. All this shows how much of an effect this game has had, and no doubt it will be absolutely fantastic to play. Matthew will, I'm sure, write about it in due course, as I personally have not yet had the chance to play it.
