With the success of the amazon kindle (which I am bemused at) I am more than excited to hear that a kindle application will be available to all you on windows. The application will allow you to download content or your own personal use which was previously available for the kindle. There is already an iphone app similar to this and the Mac OS X compatible app will be available in due course. The introduction of this could mean avoiding moral embarrassment of carry around the unfashionable brick known as the kindle, and instead replacing it with a netbook or ultra mobile pc. Take these with a pinch of salt but don't bash it until you've tried it.
