Gran Turismo PSP Review

So, after what seemed like years (and was), Gran Turismo PSP has finally been released on umd and download formats. The whole feel of it is reminiscent of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue for the ps3, right down to the automatic screen display for races. The in car mode isn't as good however, but it is much easier in my view to see the car from the back, you also get to see your fantastic drifts in that mode. The home screen is well thought out and easy to use, with a save button top right. The autosave feature is really annoying and slow on it so I would advise manual saving as this is much better. There are a lot of cars in this game, 800 in fact. But unfortunately if you use for example a Ford GT during a race, you will most of the time be against 3 Bugatti Veyrons. This is hard work and you wish that you were against some of the hundreds of other cars in this game. What is good as well is the 35 tracks with reverse options as well. There are 3 modes of gaming, time trial, race, and drift trial. Race is you at the back against 3 other cars which is good because it is not too clustered and gives you a chance to lead for a short race, which is all you are ever going to do on your psp. There are also driving challenges, which give you points for completing them at different levels. The buying of cars in the game is quite hard because the game runs in "days" after races, so you have to check every time after a race to see if your favourite car is up for sale. Overall, a great portable driving game for the psp, one of the best, but some silly features and annoyinces let it down.
