Facebook game review: Farmville

As im writing this post I don’t whether I should be reassessing my life or be logged into facebook playing Farmville. The fact of the matter is… IM OBSSESSED with it and I can’t quite tell why. Luckily I have saved my last few brain cells and im back on track doing more reasonable things. Well, Farmville is basically a flash game/application found on the social networking site Facebook, the aim of the game is to plant crops to gain more experience points and “coins”. This, then allowing you to level up and expand your farm, the catch however, is that the crops grow in real time so it can be fairly time consuming. The game runs smoothly, but the best and biggest attraction is the awesome friend integration, for example the scores of all your added friends from your list are on a toolbar at the bottom of your app, this involving the element of competition, making it simply addictive. Now it’s not all merry, I do have some bones to pick, firstly once you become relatively good at it, the means of improving/expanding your farm become limited also periodical automatic saves of your farms progress would help as I have been greatly angered the amount of times ive spent clicking those isometric crops tediously only to find out minutes later it hasn’t saved. Overall well worth a go, but be warned once you start you won’t be able to stop. If you have tried this game why not leave a comment with your take or if you like this genre of game check out Mafia Wars on facebook.
